Here's a short story written for a Sunday school take-home paper from the early 2000's. Haley, a pre-teen girl, gets an unwelcome surprise when she realizes her grandma is coming to stay for a while. Grandma will need lots of assistance as she recovers from surgery, and none of this was in Haley's plans. She'd rather be a cheerleading practice.
